Pastor Bob Carpenter

Bob was raised on the family farm in Laingsburg, Michigan, before a six-year enlistment in the world’s finest Navy. During that enlistment, Bob met and married the former Sue Pajunen. After his honorable discharge in 1980, Sue, and the first two of their children, Becky and Bobby III, joined Bob in a move to Pineville, Kentucky to as he pursued a Bachelor of Theology at The Clear Creek Baptist College. Before graduating in 1983 and moving to Waynesburg, Kentucky, the “little girls,” Heather and Rachel, joined the family. Bob matriculated at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 1983; graduating with a Master of Divinity in December 1985. In the last week of 1985, the Carpenters moved to Holt, Michigan as Bob became the Pastor of the Cedar Street Church; where they continue to live and serve God. Bob is retired from the U.S. Navy (RES) having served fifteen additional years as a Chaplain. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, and reading.
